Some Kinds of Curly canaries

Today we are going to talk about Some Kinds of Curly canaries

  • Parisian curly canary.

Otherwise, this breed is also called * the Parisian trumpeter *. This is one of the largest breeds of canaries - the bird is not less than 19 cm long, its wingspan is 28-30 cm. The birds curl long thin feathers all over their bodies.

Characteristic signs of a trumpeter are * cocks * feathers hanging down at the base of the tail and a claw on the back finger bent by a corkscrew. Males sing well.
These birds need more spacious cages than simple canaries. Nesting for them need at least 80 * 50 * 50. The perches are placed so that the birds can mate unhindered. The nest basket should also be large and deeper, since the chicks of this breed, rising from their feet, can fall out of a not deep enough nest.

For brooding and feeding of chickens, chickens use their hens and brooders, because as a result of breeding trumpeters in birds, the parental instincts are poorly pronounced.

  • Padua and Milanese curly canaries.

Characteristic signs. The length of the bird is 18 cm. Padua is decorated with a crest on the head. There are only red and white. They lack * cock-feathers * and claws bent by a corkscrew. The plumage of these birds is not as magnificent as that of the Parisian trumpeter.
