For the first time humpbacked canaries were bred in Belgium. This is one of the largest canaries, whose body length reaches 20 - 22 centimeters.
The pose in which the canary constantly resides is amazing: the bird holds the body almost vertically, and arches the neck at an angle.
A canary bows to you. Lovers are trying to strengthen this feature of the breed by putting poles almost under the ceiling of the cage, and the birds are forced to bend down even more.
Humpback canaries in Belgium from the second half of the 19th century until 1914 were especially highly valued (the First World War dealt a serious blow to canary breeding in this country).

Looking at the unusual forms of humpback canaries, you can not help wondering at the diversity and originality of the tastes of fans of this breed.
- Belgian Humpback (Bossu Belge.)
The plumage, like all other humpback, smooth, adjacent.
Khokhlov in humpback Canaries does not happen.
During normal landing, the Belgian canaries keep their head and neck horizontally in the “working exterior” - lowered down. In this case, the shoulders and upper back constitute the highest point of the bird's body.
With the Belgian canaries, as with other humpback breeds, conduct special training.
This is necessary so that the “working exterior” appears most expressively, and the bird at the exhibition takes a higher place.

The back and tail in the "working exterior" make a straight vertical line.
The standard of the Belgian hunchback canary allows all colors, including variegation.
Preference, however, is given to yellow color, and in variegated canaries - symmetrical pattern.
Bird size - 17 cm
- Scottish Humpback (Scotch Fancy)
For its revival of the few birds that remained, amateurs crossed with a Belgian humpback and French curly canary.
Currently, the breed is fully restored, officially recognized and is increasingly being exhibited at European exhibitions.
In profile, the Scottish canary has a crescent shape.
In the "working exterior" tail goes far under the perch.
The head always remains the highest point of the bird.
We can say that the Scottish hunchbacked canary is a Swiss curly with smooth plumage.
Coloring allowed any, except red.
The length of the bird is 17-18 cm, but smaller birds are not strictly fined.
- Munich Humpback (Munchener)
The Munich hunchbacked canary exterior is so reminiscent of the Scottish, that an inexperienced lover can confuse them.
Therefore, we immediately cite the distinguishing features of this breed.
The first such sign is the tail, never setting under the perpetrator, but hanging down or slightly raised.
Munich canaries smaller Scottish. Their chest is slightly protruding, evenly arched.
The bird is harmoniously folded. The diversity should not be symmetrical.
- Japanese Hoso (Japan Hoso)
Attempts to create their own national breed of decorative canaries were made in 1923 by the Japanese canaruders.
They used Scottish, Munich and Belgian humpback canaries as source material for breeding (creating a new breed) .
The new breed got its name from the name of the poultry farms Hosei, whose owner is a famous Japanese canary-Nakamura.
The first canos of Hoso appeared in Europe in the 70s of the 20th century and attracted the attention of the Belgian canarists with their miniature addition.
Experienced canar breeders stabilized the breed and proposed a SOM, standard that was adopted in 1974.
The size of the canos Hoso 11 cm.
The exterior of the Canos Hoso is most reminiscent of the Munich exterior, but the "working exterior" tail goes far under the perch.
Color can be any other than red. There are asymmetrically motley birds. Preference is given to a specimen with intensive plumage.
Well breeds and feeds the chicks.
