The history of york

1 August is celebrated for Yorkshire Day  to promote Yorkshire thewell known historic English county  . 

in 1975 as all of some historian told us It was celebrated , by the Ridings Society, initially in Beverley, and it was called 
"protest movement against the government re-organisation of 1974".

1 August shows us too The emancipation of slaves in 1834 with British Empire.which  William Wilberforce, had campaigned there .1 August was celebrated" King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry" as Minden Day.
