What do you do when your pet turtle becomes sick or injured?

Memo to the owner: what to do if a turtle falls ill
It seems to you (or you are sure) that your turtle got sick. One. If you have a few sick at once:
Drop her from the rest of the turtles. Society, of course, is nice, but not when you are sick.
Put her in the spare terrarium. If it is not, then in a fairly spacious cardboard box filled with small wood sawdust or river sand, put (unless it has diarrhea) there a few slices of apple and a couple of sheets of salad (the amount of food, of course, should vary depending on the size of the animal) .
Turn on her UV lamp - it stimulates the animal's immunity. The UV lamp should illuminate half the box. On the other half, you can put a bunch of hay so that the animal can dig into it.
And call the herpetologist vet. Let the animal come and see.
If in your veterinary clinic there is no home departure service, then you will have to call there, tell about your problem and ask who and when will be able to examine your pet. You will be assigned a specific time of admission and you will need to bring your pet for examination.

Disease prevention

Since the time of Hypocrates, it is known that the best treatment is prevention. The key to the health of any turtle is:
  a) Good content
  b) Good care
  c) Regular visits to the doctor.
Regular visits to the doctor when the animal “seems to hurt nothing”, everything is normal, the same need as good nutrition and a UV lamp.

She goes to the veterinarian every six months - isn’t it preferable to regret the money spent later on and her own nerves, and all this could have been avoided if I regularly visited the same specialist.
