Singing Canaries
In birds from the group of singing, the color and exterior of the plumage are of no particular importance, the main feature is the voice data.
There are many breeds of song canaries that are bred within any one country.
German singing Canaries
The birthplace of the canaries of this breed is the city Andreasberg.
Translated from German means "rumble, roll."
Rollers have a low voice, and they sing with a closed beak.
Their voices are soft, deep and dull. While singing, the Harz Canary stands vertically on the perch and puffs up its throat. Rollers are mostly only yellow, in extreme cases, yellow-colored.
Belgian singing Canaries
It was bred more than 100 years ago near the city of Malin, from where it received its second name Malinois. Malinois larger and much more mobile roller.
The song of the Belgian canary is more varied than the singing of a roller, there are knees in it resembling the sounds of moving water, from which there is another name for this breed - watermaker.
During singing, the bird strongly inflates the throat, but performs part of the song with a closed, and part with an open beak.
Spanish chorister
This is the oldest breed of canaries. Known in Europe under the name of timbrados.
May be green, yellow and variegated. It is small, about 13 cm.
This canary performs its song both with a half-open and with an open beak.
Russian canary
Unfortunately, it is not yet registered with the International Ornithological Association "COM".
Nevertheless, it is loved and known not only in our country.
She sings the voices of our birds, Russian forests!
